Clean Slate

I have missed this blog site....!!

I mean it!
I'm actually smiling while typing these letters, because I really missed writing here..i missed being just the unadulterated, straightforward me.
Before this post, there were 53 previous posts already in here. and they were of a distant past that was an utterly ugly picture that I don't want to remember anymore.
Those were ramblings of a desperate heart, desperate for something similar to love...

Oh well, as they say, let bygones be bygones....

I want to start with a clean slate, I want to enjoy what I have right now, as what Ethan always tells me. You shall read more of Ethan as he is my parallel opposite, whatever that may mean to you.

Speaking of Ethan, we were just about done resting our swollen feet from walking around naif Square, right smack from where the Baniyas Metro Station was. We did this from around 6 until 8 but our day started earlier than that. Went with him for his interview and then we ate chicken satay with peanut butter sauce, plus some extra (which im not gonna mention coz i think what we did was illegal, you know, sneaking outside food into a resto). So after that, we walked towards the old naif square or nasr square to some, i think it's one and the same. We passed by shops and showrooms and stopped by a store selling chocolate by the kilo. he bought about 4 dirhams worth. he's a chocolate whore. After this, we walked towards the fish roundabout, and walked past the old Maktoum Hospital. It was the first time I see that it's being demolished, most of the buildings are gone while there is still this one eerie building that looked like an asylum that was still standing waiting to be pumelled to the ground.

After that the stores and shops upon shops of various things and what-nots welcomed us. I realized I haven't been to Naif Square since about 6 years ago. There was a small change brought about by the Metro Station, but all the other old buildings were still there. We stopped by a sports house and found some cheap but quality rollerblades which we will definitely be buying. Then we window shopped mostly, until we reach the deepest corners and busiest alleys of the old square. I reminded my self to bring my camera with me next time.

It was his first time around that place and I'm happy I brought something new to him, even though it was just as simple as a walk through old, busy and dirty alleys. Some good things in life are still free, or comes with a small cost, realistically speaking.
